Year Level Structure

Secondary School at Pinnacle

From Year 7 through to Year 12, the curriculum progressively deepens — building the academic habits, subject knowledge and personal skills each stage of schooling requires.

Middle School
Years 7 – 8
Students are introduced to the expectations of secondary school — refining abilities necessary to their learning through an engaging, structured curriculum. Through Pastoral Care and classroom activities, students foster positive relationships and create a support network.

Middle School
Years 9 – 10
Students continue deepening their subject knowledge through a combination of core and elective subjects. More specialised teaching occurs as students begin preparing for their senior years and SACE. The PLP (Personal Learning Plan) and Integrated Learning are completed at this stage.

Senior Years · SACE
Years 11 – 12
Students enter the SACE program — the South Australian Certificate of Education. Stage 1 (Year 11) and Stage 2 (Year 12) lead to the ATAR and open pathways to university, TAFE, apprenticeships and the workforce. Career counselling intensifies and tertiary aims are actively supported.
